LUSS PIER All You Need to Know BEFORE You Go (with Photos)

You'll find Luss nestled in beside Loch Lomond, not far off the main A82 road. It's the perfect stopping point to stretch the legs whether you're heading north to Skye or west toward Loch Fyne. Surrounded by mountains and a particularly large body of water, there aren't many options for how to get to Luss!

1: Luss is one of the prettiest villages in Scotland and the fact that it's situated in a prime position overlooking the beautiful Loch Lomond is the icing on the cake. This village is a must-do for anyone visiting The Trossachs National Park.

Luss Towns & Villages The pretty conservation village of Luss is situated almost 10 miles south of Tarbet on the western shore of Loch Lomond. A settlement has stood on this site since medieval times although much of the current village dates from the 18th and 19th centuries, having been developed to house workers from nearby slate quarries.

Loch Lomond is easily accessible here and from the pier you are treated to stunning views across it to Ben Lomond, Scotland's most southerly Munro, or individual mountain over 3,000 feet high. Just to the south of the centre of the village, and still overlooking the Loch, is Luss Church, built by the Colquhouns in 1875.
